Optimist Members have recognized the need to educate the youth and adults in their communities about being safe on the internet.  Optimist International and Optimist International Foundations have partnered with the Internet Keep Safe Coalition to provide Optimist Members with these three internet safety programs they can present in their communities:

Adult Internet Safety Education is offered to educate parents and adults that work with children about the threat of Internet predators and online dangers and provide some tools to help keep children safe while on the internet.

Teen Internet Safety Education (Life in the Online World) acknowledges that teens use the internet on a daily basis and encourages diligence, awareness and safe practices, including  posting inappropriate pictures or damaging information on social networking websites, internet predators, identity theft, and cyber-bullying.

Faux Paw, the Techno Cat is designed for children in first through fourth grades.  Through the storybook adventures of Internet safety icon, Faux Paw the Techno Cat, elementary school children learn about Internet safety basics, cyber-bullying, and balancing real life with screen time.
